UN Day: Celebrating 80 Years

Join us as we commemorate UN Day and celebrate the 80th anniversary of the United Nations. This milestone event honors eight decades of global unity, peace, and progress. Together, we reflect on the UN's achievements and look forward to a future of continued collaboration and positive impact worldwide.
Programs
Advocacy
We believe advocacy is a powerful tool for making people’s voices heard. Our programs focus on influencing policy at local, state, and national levels to support the UN’s mission. We organize campaigns, write letters and emails, make phone calls, and meet with elected officials to address both local and global issues. Through these activities, we aim to positively impact our community and contribute to global efforts for peace, sustainability, and human rights.
Climate Smart Communities
We support and promote New York Climate Smart Communities, a program dedicated to helping local governments reduce greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to climate change. By participating in this initiative, we encourage sustainable practices, enhance community resilience, and contribute to a healthier environment for future generations. Our efforts include raising awareness, providing resources, and collaborating with local stakeholders to implement climate-smart strategies.
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Raising awareness about the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in our community, including schools and colleges, is vital. By collaborating with local governments and organizations, we can integrate SDG topics into education, host events, and promote community projects. This collective effort will help us achieve a sustainable future.
